About this session
Composite resin materials have evolved significantly, with advances in filler technology, handling, strength, polishability and optical properties giving clinicians a wider range of restorative options than ever before.
This 30-minute lecture looks at how resin materials have developed and how these changes influence material selection for different clinical situations. Using contemporary restorative systems as examples, the presentation will explore the roles of flowable, universal and higher-viscosity composites, as well as the effect of composite warming on handling and adaptation.
Clinical examples will show how understanding the properties of each material allows clinicians to make appropriate choices for different restorative challenges while maintaining predictable adhesion, function and aesthetics.
